Matt Rife, Bruins And Celtics Playoff Games: MA Weekend Events

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

This weekend is big for Boston sports fans as both the Bruins and Celtics begin their quest for a championship at TD Garden, with the Bruins starting the playoffs on Saturday and the Celtics on Sunday.

Plus, the comedian Matt Rife takes over a full weekend at MGM Music Hall with shows scheduled from Friday through Sunday.

Two breweries will also celebrate the 4/20 weekend in different ways, with Widowmaker in Braintree hosting the annual Hopsmokerfest this weekend and Widow's Purse celebrating the release of their spicy pickle beer in collaboration with Lighthouse Keeper's Pantry on Cape Cod.
