New MA Chick-Fil-A Opens, Bertucci's Closes Location: MA Food Week

The Walpole Chick-fil-A location will be owned and operated by Andrew Musick, a longtime restaurant employee.

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

This week, fans of fast food chicken chains can rejoice, as Chick-fil-A has opened another location in the Bay State, this time in Walpole.

The location opened on Thursday, and will be owned and operated by Andrew Musick, who began his Chick-fil-A journey as a teenager and worked his way up within the company to own his own restaurant. Musick even met his wife at the restaurant.

The restaurant opened with an eye toward the community, as officials said Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in honor of the new restaurant.

The Walpole restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program to donate surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.

This restaurant is expected to employ 80 part-time and full-time employees, officials said.
