Raising Cane's Approved, How MA's Classic Egg Nog Is Made: MA Food Week
Plus: L.A. Burdick Chocolates opens in Brookline this week with a couple freebies for those who show up on opening day.

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.
This week, we learned Raising Cane's, the rapidly growing chicken finger shop, was given unanimous approval for a food sellers permit during a Monday meeting of Framingham's Board of License Commissioners.
The chicken finger chain has eight locations in Massachusetts, including three in Boston and one each in Marlborough, Medford, Methuen, Saugus and Seekonk.

Framingham's restaurant will eventually open at 253 Cochituate Rd. It could potentially open in early 2025.

The Cookie Monstah Bake Shop opened on Wednesday 849 Washington St. It is the local chain’s eighth location since it was founded in 2012.
The store offers a wide variety of cookies baked daily, which are complimented by Richardson’s Ice Cream. The menu also includes frappes, floats, and gluten-free options.

New England’s iconic chocolatier, L.A. Burdick, will be making its Brookline debut in the heart of Coolidge Corner this Saturday.
The 37-year-old chocolate institution will be opening at 1330 Beacon St. in the historic S.S. Pierce Building. This will be the third L.A. Burdick Chocolates shop in Massachusetts, alongside locations in Back Bay and Harvard Square, and seventh in the U.S.
To mark this occasion, when doors open at 10 a.m., the first 75 guests will receive a complimentary, limited-edition Brookline Chocolate Assortment, featuring "an array of Massachusetts-inspired chocolates," alongside a complimentary Burdick To-Go Tumbler.
Additionally, every customer who makes a purchase during the celebration will receive a complimentary Burdick Cookie.
