St. Patrick's Day Parades, Dropkick Murphys: MA Weekend Events

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

Massachusetts takes St. Patrick's Day seriously. Last weekend featured a preview of the festivities with parades in Worcester and on Cape Cod, but this weekend the party really gets going.

Parades in Scituate, Holyoke and Boston provide highlights for the weekend, but many cities and towns across the state will have bars and restaurants also engaging in events and specials for the weekend.

There are also big names stopping in Massachusetts this weekend, with Offset — formerly of Migos — at House of Blues, Roy Wood Jr. at The Wilbur and Sleater-Kinney at Paradise Rock Club.
