[She is] my grandson who I've been raising for 20 years' special needs teacher. She deserves a medal!

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

I believe she is one of the best teachers I've ever met. My grandson is not easy. Ms. Brooks goes above and beyond when most just give up on him. She is truly one of a kind; She holds him accountable and offers him solutions and works with him to get through it. I'm very grateful she's teaching at the Gateway School program.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
She won't give up on your child even when your child wants to give up on themselves. She is truly one to be admired.
