The Top 100 Places To Live In Massachusetts: 2025 Rankings

Rankings website Niche.com published its 2025 list of the "best places to live in Massachusetts." Where does your town fall?

MASSACHUSETTS — Brookline, Cambridgeport, Riverside, and Cambridge are all in the top 100 places to live across the country, according to the latest set of rankings released by Niche on Monday.

But those aren't the only communities in the Bay State to receive Niche's highest grade. In fact, the top 74 cities and towns in the state all received an A+. And the next 26 towns rounding out the top 100 all earned an A.

If you live in a place with "Cambridge" in its name, that's probably a good sign: Cambridgeport, Cambridge, Mid-Cambridge, and East Cambridge all made the state's top 10.

The ranking from the data-driven platform Niche is now in its 11th year and helps everyone from young people just starting their careers or families to retirees decide where they want to live. The report analyzes places of various sizes, including cities with populations of 100,000 or more, suburbs and neighborhoods.
