99 Percent of Acton Teachers 'Proficient' in State Rankings

Acton teachers scored higher than their peers in a new state ranking system.

The latest Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Educator Evaluation found 99 percent of Acton teachers were “proficient” or “exemplary.” Here’s how the rest of Acton teachers ranked:

• Needs Improvement: 1 percent
• Unsatisfactory: None

Of the 372 school districts evaluated, an average of 86.5 percent of teachers were proficient.

This is the second year the state has conducted the rankings.
