The A.C.T. Presents Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr.

DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.

The Acton Cooperative Theater (The A.C.T.) will present the underwater adventure of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. on Friday, December 9th at 7:00pm and Saturday, December 10th at 2:00pm. All shows take place at R. J. Grey Jr. High School Dragonfly Theater, located at 16 Charter Road in Acton. General admission are $12 each and are available at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling 978.760.2577, through a cast member or at Buttons & Bows located at 448 Great Rd Acton, MA 01720.

This classic Disney title contains all of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show. Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she’s the girl with the perfect voice.

The A.C.T.’s dedicated cast members are working together in extraordinary ways to present this musical for your enjoyment. Through their production these students are celebrating the power of storytelling, teamwork and imagination. We hope you’ll join us in applauding them.

The A.C.T. is a unique, non-profit cooperative theater for grades K-12. Their mission is to foster creativity and self-confidence in children and teens as they develop and improve their skills in various areas of the performing arts. The A.C.T. welcomes students from Acton and surrounding communities who are interested in exploring the wonderful world of theater.

The A.C.T. also offers a theater enrichment program. As part of the program, The A.C.T. is organizing outings to local shows presented by the Acton Boxborough Regional Schools and to family-friendly Broadway shows at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, MA. In addition, The A.C.T. is also offering cast families the ability to purchase discounted, premiere tickets to all shows and events in the Hanover Theatre’s 2016/2017 season.
