Acton Cleanup Day Is Back

Come join your neighbors in cleaning up Acton's streets and public spaces.

The annual town wide Acton Cleanup Day will return this spring for the 18th time. The event will take place on Saturday, May 2 between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM .

There are three designated collection sites:

  1. South Acton in front of Jones Tavern at 128 Main St.
  2. Acton Center in front of Memorial Library at 486 Main Street
  3. North Acton in the beach parking area of NARA off 25 Ledge Rock Way.

At a site, participants can pick up trash bags and gloves, as well as suggestions of places that need attention. Refreshments will be available at each site.

Generally, areas to consider for cleanup are along the sides of roads and highways (adults only), parks, playgrounds, commercial areas, and along the banks of streams, especially the banks downstream from bridges, as well as your own neighborhood.

Filled bags can be returned to any of the three sites listed above. Large or heavy objects, not in bags, will be also accepted.
