Acton Cooperative School Art Show

The 4 to 5 year old Frogs class at the Acton Cooperative School put on an art show of their own work influenced by great artists.

They may only be 4-and-5 year olds, but students in the Frogs class at the Acton Cooperative School know a thing or two about good art--and they’re proud to display it! Teachers Kelly Reed and Emily Bradley have introduced the children to famous artists throughout the school year. The art show was a wonderful way for the little artists to show off their work to family and friends.

Their work was inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s concentric circles, Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Sunflowers, Damien Hirst’s spin art, Georgia O’Keeffe’s Red Poppy, Claude Monet’s Water Lilies, Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow, and of course, the artwork of Eric Carle. You can see a sampling of the art show at the Acton Public Library’s Children’s Department, from April 7 to April 28.

The Acton Cooperative School has been providing children ages 2.9 to 5 years with an exceptional preschool experience for the past 58 years. For more information, please contact Kim Davis at 978-263-4547 or visit our website at www.actoncoop.com.
