Acton Hiring Firefighters/Paramedics

ACTON, MA — The Town of Acton is looking for qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter/EMT Paramedic, reporting to the Acton Fire Chief. The town has three openings to become a member of our Public Safety Team.

As a firefighter/paramedic for the town, the applicant would respond to emergencies not limited to fires but including medical and trauma emergencies. The minimum entrance requirement is a high school education or equivalent, possession of Massachusetts EMT Paramedic certification and a valid driver’s license. The applicant must also pass a physical examination and physical agility test. The position accepts non-smokers only.

The town prefers someone with firefighting or paramedic experience.

The pay grade for F1 Step 1 is $23.8731 per hour, $52,138.84 per year. The position is eligible for an on-going 14 percent stipend of the base hourly rate of a Firefighter, once all requirements are met.
