Acton Man Charged with Child Porn

An Acton man was charged with child pornography after allegedly paying to see children perform sex acts in the Philippines.

Kenneth Howell, 49, was indicted this week on one count of receiving child porn and one count of possessing child porn.

Authorities said he came to the attention of federal agents after chatting online with another individual about the Philippines shows. Police then executed a search warrant at his home—at which point Howell allegedly admitted that he downloaded and distributed child porn for the last 4-5 years. Police said they found over 100 child porn videos on his computer.

An indictment means a grand jury has determined a trial is warranted based on evidence in the case.
