Acton Police to Hold Citizens Police Academy

ACTON, MA—The following information comes from a Town press release regarding the upcoming Citizens Police Academy.

The Acton Police Department will be hosting another Citizens Police Academy this spring.

It will run on Thursdays from 1:00PM to 3:00PM for 8 consecutive weeks starting April 7th and ending May 26th. It’s a great way to learn what your police department does and meet some of the officers.

Last year’s topics included a tour of the facility, history of the department, criminal and constitutional law, patrol procedures, motor vehicle enforcement, use of force, drugs, domestic violence, mental health, criminal investigations, dispatch operations, juveniles and restorative justice, and more.
