Acton Police Log: Car Accidents, Larceny and a Pump and Run

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Slid into a Telephone Pole:

  • 2/29/12 - 6:46 p.m. - Strawberry Hill Road: NSTAR was notified after a caller reported that he/she slid into a telephone pole while driving.

Larceny:

  • 2/29/12 - 6:51 p.m. - Parker Street: A resident came into the police station to report identity theft.

  • 2/29/12 - 9:49 p.m. - Nagog Hill Road: Acton rescue brought one person to Emerson Hospital for injuries after a car accident. The vehicle as towed and NSTAR was notified about the telephone pole that was hit.

Railroad Malfunction:

  • 3/1/12 - 7:58 p.m. - Parker Street: Police received a report about the railroad gates not going up.

Sparks:

  • 3/1/12 - 8:21 a.m. - Tuttle Drive: Police received a report of a sparking wire rubbing against a tree. NSTAR was notified.

Parking Problems:

  • 3/1/12 - 12:25 p.m. - Great Road: Police received a report of a trucks parked in the lot that were blocking customer parking spots. Police had the trucks reposition.

Water Gate:

  • 3/1/12 - 3:29 p.m. - Ethan Allen Drive: Police received a report about a water gate that was knocked off by a plow truck. The Water Department was notified about the issue.

Pump and Run:

  • 3/1/12 - 4:38 p.m. - Main Street: A person pumped $43 worth of gas in their vehicle and drove off without paying. Police were unable to find the person/vehicle that matched the description.
