Acton Police Log: A Stolen Gun, A Brush Fire and an Angry Bicyclist

Angry Bicyclist:

  • 3/12/12 - 7:26 a.m. - Central Street: Police received a report of a man on a bike who has been pounding windows and yelling at people at 7 a.m. everyday for parking their cars on the curb.

Stolen Gun:

  • 3/12/12 - 12:21 p.m. - Main Street: Someone came into the police station to report a stolen gun.

Lost Wallet, Found:

  • 3/12/12 - 2:01 p.m. - Main Street: Someone brought a wallet containing a money order for $525, $12 cash and a MasterCard into the police station. The wallet was found on Arboretum Road.
    The owner called the police and retrieved his wallet.

  • Arrested on: 3/12/12 - 240 Main Street, Acton
  • Charged with: Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended License.
  • Arresting officer: Dean C. Keeler

Brush Fire:

  • 3/12/12 - 10:43 p.m. - Nashoba Road: Police received a report about a brush fire. Acton fire quickly extinguished the fire. Click here to read an Acton Patch blog post about brush fire season from Acton Firefighter, . 

Loud Music:

  • 3/13/12 - 12:36 a.m. - Nagog Park Drive: A resident from Butternut Hollow reported loud music and car lights in the area. Police responded and spoke with a group of people playing soccer and listing to music from their parked cars. Police advised the group to turn down their music.

Lost Cell Phone, Found:

  • 3/13/12 - 4:23 p.m. - Main Street: Someone turned in a lost cell phone that they found on Wills Bog Trail to the police. The owner of the phone was contacted and said he would pick up the phone.
