Acton Police Log from August 22 to 28

A swastika was painted on someones house, youths jump out of moving van and more.

River Dumping:

8/22/11 - 4:02 p.m. - Mass Ave: Someone called the police to report that a landscaping truck was dumping something into the river. Police responded to the call and the truck was gone on arrival.

8/23/11 - 2:38 p.m. Newton Road: A Newton Road resident gave up several firearms to the police: six pistols, two shotguns, one musket and five rifles.

8/24/11 - 12:06 p.m. - Main Street: Police responded to two women arguing about an car accident that almost happened.

Riding Dirty:

8/26/11 - 10:35 a.m. - Adams Street: Police were called about teenagers riding an ATV and a dirt bike on the property of the waste water plant.

By The Way:

8/26/11 - 4:34 p.m. - Thoreau Road: A male party called the police to report that his mailbox was smashed in June. The party said he would come in and fill out a police report next time he is out doing errands.

Bailed:

8/26/11 - 6:27 p.m. - Powdermill Road: Someone called the police to report that they have witnessed a group of youths jump out of a Ford van.

Swastika:

8/27/11 - 3:18 p.m. - Huron Road: Someone reported that a swastika was painted on the side of their home.

Can't Breathe Without Power:

8/28/11 - 7:01 p.m. - Great Road: Two residents on oxygen tanks and one who is dependent on insulin were worried because they were out of power and NSTAR said they would power their home back up as soon as possible. Police advised the couple to call them back if they needed to be transported to the hospital for oxygen.

Arrest:

A 19 year-old male was arrested on 8/27/11 for possession of a stun gun with the potential to distribute.
