Acton Police Log from Jan. 9-10

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Low Hanging Wire:

  • 1/9/12 - 8:59 a.m. - Spencer Road: A low hanging wire was reported on the road causing a traffic hazard. Comcast was notified.

Warrant for Arrest:

  • 1/9/12 - 1:12 p.m. Discovery Way: A 33 Year-Old male from Lowell, MA, was arrested on a Warrant from the Lowell Police Department.

  • 1/9/12 - 3:26 p.m. - Great Road: Police advised some kids skating on a pond to leave the area.

Locked In:

  • 1/9/12 - 6:36 p.m. - Drummer Road: The Acton Fire Department responded to a child locked in a car. 

Prank phone Calls:

  • 1/10/12 - 10:42 a.m. - Main Street: Police received reports about prank phone calls. The party was advised to call the phone company.

Home Invasion:

  • 1/10/12 - 11:17 p.m. - Newton Road: Police responded to a report about a breaking & entering. Nothing was found.

Loud Advertisement:

  • 1/10/12 - 8:28 p.m. - Main Street: Someone reported an advertisement speaker at a gas station that was too loud. The caller requested that an officer check the situation. A police officer spoke with the employees who claimed that they have no control over it and that they would forward the complaint to management.

Dumpster Diving:

  • 1/10/11 - 9:22 p.m. - Great Road: Police received a report about a group of youths climbing in the dumpster. The youths were gone upon police arrival.
