Acton Police Log from October 11 - 12

One person under arrest - Someone smashes a car window using a pumpkin - and more.

Intoxicated:

  • 10/11/11 - 2:15 a.m. - Davis Road: Police responded to a female who called the police over the phone and sounded very intoxicated and depressed.

Vandalism with a Pumpkin:

  • 10/11/11 - 12:46 p.m. - River Street: Police responded to a report about a car window broken by a pumpkin.

  • Joseph John Costin - Powell Street, Lowell, MA - 24 Years-Old
  • Arrested on: 10/11/11 - 289 Central Street, Acton, MA
  • Charged with: Breaking and Entering for Felony during the daytime - Larceny Over $250 - Littering
  • Narrative: Around 1:28 p.m., Police responded to a report about a male in his 20's knocking on doors.
  • Arresting Officer: James Goodemote

  • 10/11/11 - 5:06 p.m. - Arlington Street: Someone reported seeing a fox near Elm Street and Arlington Street.

Hit & Run:

  • 10/11/11 - 5:29 p.m. - Windsor Ave: Someone reported a recent hit and run incident that occurred over the weekend at the Honey Pot Orchard in Stow. The subject was advised to contact the Stow Police.

Walking the Highway:

  • 10/11/11 - 9:43 p.m. - Main Street: When police responded to a report of a party walking down the Route 2 ramp, the party was gone.

Aggressive K9:

  • 10/12/11 - 1:18 P.M. - Main Street: An anonymous female wanted police to check an area on Main Street where she experienced an aggressive k9 (that did not bite her). Police checked the area but the dog was not found.

Transported to the Hospital:

  • 10/12/11 - 8:28 p.m. - Woodbury Lane: A 48 year-old heavily intoxicated female was transported to Emerson Hospital.

Brown Water:

  • 10/12/11 - 8:55 p.m. - Prescott Road: The Water Department was notified about brown water in the area.
