Acton Police Log from October 17 - 19

Someone tried to break-in to a home when the owner answered the door - A suspicious person walking in a backyard - and more.

Concerned About the Children:

  • 10/17/11 - 6:50 p.m. - Great Road: Someone called the police about two children around the age of 10 left alone in a white vehicle in a parking lot. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.

Strong Odor:

  • 10/18/11 - 1:42 a.m. - Arlington Street: There was a report about a strong odor of gas in the area. National Grid was notified.

Possible Car Fire:

  • 10/18/11 - 7:03 a.m. - Main Street: Someone reported of a possible vehicle fire. Nothing was found upon police arrival.

Car Accident:

  • 10/18/11 - 5:09 p.m. - Mass Ave.: A two-car accident occurred on Mass Ave. in the area of Starbucks and Roch Bros. Paramedics were on scene.

  • 10/19/11 - 3:47 p.m. - Ledge Rock Way: Someone reported that a man in a white van tried to force his way into her house when she answered the door. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Walking Around the Backyard:

  • 10/19/11 - 10:31 p.m. - Summer Street: Someone called the police to report that a suspicious person was walking around behind his house.
