Acton Police Log: Pit Bull With No Collar, Bites

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Bike:

  • 2/18/12 - 1:34 p.m. - Church Street: A bicycle was reported stolen.

Fireworks:

  • 2/18/12 - 8 p.m. - Great Road: Someone reported a group of people setting off fireworks in the parking lot.

  • 2/19/12 - 8:40 a.m. - Concord Road: A car struck a building causing minor damage to the building. No one was injured.

Pit Bull Bites Person:

  • 2/19/12 - 2:17 p.m. - Nagog Square: Police received a report that a person was bit by a brown pit bull with no collar. The person was transferred to Pheasant Hill and the dog was not located.

  • 2/19/12 - 7 p.m. - Juniper Ridge Road: Police received a report about a person in a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee filming the neighborhood.

Arrested:

  • 2/20/12 - 2:15 p.m. - Massachusetts Avenue: Jane T. Matthews, 65, of Ayer Road, Harvard, was arrested and charged with Marked Lanes Violation and OUI-Liquor on Monday, Feb. 20.
