Acton Police Log: When Chickens Attack

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Acton police log from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1:

Deer Struck by Vehicle:

  • 1/30/12 - 6:48 p.m. - Hayward Road: Police received a report of a deer on the side of the road that was struck by a vehicle.

Too Bright:

  • 1/30/12 - 12:08 a.m. - High Street: A resident complained about bright exterior lights across the street. Police drove by and reported no problems.

Suspicious Person:

  • 1/31/12 - 12:08 a.m. - Massachusetts Avenue: Police responded to a report from a store clerk regarding a suspicious male who was hanging around the store. The person left the store, but the clerk was concerned he would return.

Dirty Speed:

  • 1/31/12 - 3:59 p.m. - Adams Court: Police received a report about a dirt bike traveling at high speed. The biker was gone upon police arrival.

Living Out of The Car:

  • 2/1/12 - 10:20 a.m. - Old Stone Brook: Police told people who were possibly living in the car to leave the area.

Attack of the Chickens:

  • 2/1/12 - 2:16 p.m. - Robbins Street: Police received a report of a resident that was "trapped" in her house because her neighbor's chickens were attacking her. Police arrived and reported the chickens had gone home.

Possessed by the Rock n' Roll:

  • 2/1/12 - 6:45 p.m. - Spruce Street: Police received a report of a person jumping around and swearing while listening to loud music.

Is Acton OK?

  • 2/1/12 - 9 p.m. - High Street: Someone called the police and asked if anything was wrong in Acton.
