Acton Resident Closes Popular Mexican Restaurant in Sudbury

Owner also closes Serafina Ristorante in Concord.

Following up on a tip from a reader, Patch has confirmed that  the popular Mexican restaurant in Sudbury owned by acton resident Sam Cannarozzi, is closed.

The shutters have closed for days and the front door was papered over Friday evening. Would-be diners stopped in the parking lot and then pulled away, or would slow down on Route 117 and then move on when they could see the popular place was closed.

Cannarozzi, who also is said to have closed Serafina Ristorante in Concord, did not return a call seeking comment.

Both the Sudbury Police Department and the Sudbury Board of Selectmen were unaware of the closing of Sierra's.

“Sam is a nice guy,” said Mary McCormack of the Sudbury Selectmen’s office. “It’s sad.”
