Acton's Oake Sentenced to Five and a Half Years for Child Porn

May 22, 2012: U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton sentenced Chris Allen Oake, 61, of Acton to 64 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. , Oake pleaded guilty to transportation, receipt, and possession of child pornography.
According to a statement released by United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz, Oake was an active member of a private members-only child pornography website and thousands of images of child erotica were discovered in "well-organized folders" on his personal computer.
"The charges against Oake were a result of Operation Nest Egg, an ongoing and joint investigation led by the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana, Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Operation Nest Egg, launched in 2008, targeted approximately 500 individuals located throughout the world for their involvement in an online group dedicated to trading images of child pornography." - Statement from United States Attorney Carmen M.
