Acton Shows Off New Minuteman Tech On High School Tour Day
The new Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School was finished at the end of summer.
ACTON, MA — Prospective high schoolers got a glimpse of the new Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School on Sunday during the school's tour day. The school was officially finished at the end of the summer and has had it's first batch of students for a few months.
The 257,000 square foot building is slightly smaller than the original building, but is full of new amenities. The original building was built in 1970 and could accommodate about 1,000 students. The new building accommodates 628 students and cost around $145 million to build.
The new school is literally split down the middle, with one half dedicated to life sciences and human services and the other half dedicated to trades. The student union is in the middle of the two sides.
