Acton Woman Arrested for Driving the Wrong Way on Route 2, Hitting a Police Cruiser

On Saturday morning, Kerry L. Hachey, 53, of Acton was driving on the wrong side of Route 2 in Littleton when she crashed into a stationary police cruiser. The officer at the scene was helping a disabled vehicle. No one was injured and Hachey fled the scene.
The accident occurred at 6:53 a.m. A few minutes prior to the crash, an off-duty Chelsea police officer and two motorists reported that a Toyota Camry was traveling east in the westbound lane at a high rate of speed, running one of the motorists off the road.
State troopers located the Camry and arrested Hachey shortly after the accident. She was charged with operating under the influence of drugs, operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, leaving the scene of property damage (3 counts), state highway wrong-way violation, state highway traffic signal violation and operating a motor vehicle that does not meet registered motor vehicle safety standards.
