Art & Music Festival Set for West Acton

Village AMP coming to West Acton early September.

What do you usually do after the Acton-Boxborough Farmers Market? Head home? Don't you wish the West Acton village still had some life after the market? Well on Sunday, Sept. 9, pack your groceries in your car and head over to the Village AMP (Arts and Music Project) festival at 543-537 Massachusetts Ave, West Acton Village.

Live music, local art, face paintings, chair massages, ice cream, local beer and a raw bar will fill the West Acton village with a festive feel from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Sept. 16.

According to a press release, "The Village Amp is a collaborative effort among New Habitat Partners LLC, 3Rivers Arts, and Acton Open Studios, with generous support from Enterprise Bank, Indian Hill Music Center, OMR Architects, the Law Office of William J. Hickey, and Rapscallion Beer."

"We are excited for the first of what we hope will be many events to grow from our partnership with 3Rivers and Acton Open Studios," said Mathias Rosenfeld of New Habitat Partners, LLC, host of the Village AMP. "This redevelopment project is about more than buildings and infrastructure. The creativity of these organizations, and the energy of all the businesses who are choosing to locate in West Acton, is making the Village a more fun and interesting place to live and work."
