Arthur T.: We'll Get New Littleton Market Basket 'Back on Track'

Arthur T. Demoulas talked about Market Basket's new, unopened stores Thursday.

After taking back control of Market Basket earlier this week, Arthur T. Demoulas addressed the status of new, unopened stores, such as the one at The Point in Littleton, in a Thursday interview with the Boston Herald.

“We’re going to get all those back in action, those stores in Waltham, Revere and Attleboro and Littleton and so forth,” Demoulas said. “We’re going to get all those back on track, and we’ll get to them as soon as we get up and running, and it’ll be an exciting thing and good growth opportunities for people within the organization.”

On Wednesday night, Arthur T. regained control of the supermarket chain from his cousin and rival, Arthur S. Demoulas, by buying out shareholders for over $1.5 billion. Arthur T. was ousted in June when the majority of the company’s board of directors backed Arthur S.
