Back by Popular Demand, Concord Youth Theatre Hosts “Ice Cappella” Choral Event
CONCORD, MA: “A Cappella” [Italian: ah kahp-PEL-lah]; adjective, adverb. Definition - Music without instrumental accompaniment. “ICE Cappella” [See above definition, but add in the middle of winter at Concord Youth Theatre (CYT)!] Back by popular demand is Concord Youth Theatre’s evening featuring a plethora of regional a cappella vocal groups - Ice Cappella, January 30, 2015, 7:30pm at Concord-Carlisle Regional High School Auditorium, 500 Walden Street in Concord. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door, or online at www.concordyouththeatre.org. This event is sponsored by Reasons to Be Cheerful of West Concord.
This celebration of harmonious blends includes young vocalists from high school through college. In addition to CYT’s own performing group, featured as part of the evening will be the Town Criers (Weston), Trebled Teens (Carlisle), The Gryphtones (Cambridge School of Weston), Accent A Cappella, A* Choired Taste, Musicgals and L-S Acafellas (Lincoln-Sudbury), Mosti (Acton-Boxborough), The Testosterones (Wayland), Aural Fixation (Boston University), Charlie Chords (Berklee College of Music), Pitch, Please! (Northeastern University) and The PowerChords (Olin College).
