Bobcat Sighting | Gunshots & Explosions | Sidewalk Refusal

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Flying Bullets:

  • 6/7/12 - 10:19 a.m. - Meadow Brook Road: A woman called the police to report past gunshots heard in the area and she was worried that bullets may fly into her yard.

Tree Cutter:

  • 6/7/12 - 3:06 p.m. - Partridge Pond Road: A woman reported a man was cutting down a tree on her property. The man was gone upon police arrival.

  • 6/8/12 - 8:22 p.m. - Taylor Road: Police received a report of two possible intoxicated teens, one of which had jumped on a passing car. The teens were gone upon police arrival.

Sidewalk Refusal:

  • 6/9/12 - 1:25 p.m. - High Street: Police received a report of an elderly woman walking in the middle of the road with her walker. Police believed it was one particular resident on High Street that is known for refusing to walk on sidewalks.

Gunshots Heard:

  • 6/9/12 - 9:54 p.m. - Kinsley Road: Someone reported hearing gunshots and a loud explosion.

Early Morning Frisbee:

  • 6/10/12 - 1:10 a.m. - Charter Road: Ten kids playing a game of frisbee were spoken to by the police and advised to keep the noise down.

Possible Bobcat in Acton:

  • 6/11/2 - 1:33 a.m. - Harris Street: Police responded to a barking dog complaint but could not locate the dog. When approaching the area the officer heard the animal moving further into the woods. The animal is believed to be a Bobcat or a similar type of animal.
