Boxboro Company wins Energy Efficiency Award

Muirfield Mechanical recently received a COOL SMART award for energy efficiency services.  The award was presented during the New England Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) annual golf tournament held in Stow, Mass.  Ron Mallard, president, accepted the award on behalf of his company.

COOL SMART is a high efficiency air conditioning rebate program for residential customers of National Grid, NSTAR Electric, Unitil, Western Massachusetts Electric Company and Cape Light Compact.  These organizations have sponsored the awards and the golf tournament for several consecutive years.  The awards program was created to recognize contractors in Mass. and R.I. for outstanding service and an ongoing commitment to energy efficiency.  Launched in 2004, COOL SMART promotes the purchase and verified quality installation of ENERGY STAR®-qualified central air conditioning systems.  The awards are based on leadership, top-notch installation and active program participation.

National Grid Residential Program Manager, Rebecca Rundle, said “We are proud to work with contractors like Ron and the folks at Muirfield Mechanical, who demonstrate top quality work year in and year out for our customers.  Congratulations to the winners and we hope to get even greater participation next year, on the 10th anniversary of the COOL SMART program.”
