Boxborough Man Pleads Guilty to Kidnapping, Stabbing Brother
The defendant kidnapped his brother and another woman and drove them to Ohio.

LOWELL, MA—A Boxborough man was sentenced Monday to 10-12 years in state orison after pleading guilty to kidnapping his brother and another woman and fleeing to Ohio.
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Monday evening that Judge Heidi Breiger sentenced 21-year-old Keven Blakemore to 10-12 years in State prison followed by 10 years in probation stemming from the August kidnapping. Blakemore pled guilty to two counts of kidnapping, armed assault with intent to commit murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury two counts of witness intimidation, assault and battery and mayhem.
“The defendant in this case committed a vicious attack on two individuals before fleeing to Ohio to avoid prosecution,” said Ryan in a statement. “This case highlights the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies which led to the defendant’s successful return to Middlesex County and today’s guilty plea.”

An investigation determined that Blakemore had assaulted both his brother and the woman inside the apartment, including duct-taping them to a chair, and then later forcing them into a vehicle which he drove to Ohio.
The Lowell Sun reports that Blakemore repeatedly stabbed his brother in the neck, back torso and hand; and nearly sawed the victim's finger off. According to the report, Blakemore forced the woman to take off her clothes, and then later sexually assaulted her.

The Lowell Sun also reported that two counts of rape were placed on file without a change of plea.
The male victim was able to get medical treatment after promising to say that he sustained his injuries in an ATV accident, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's office . Upon further examination, medical personnel discovered that the victim had suffered life-threatening stab wounds, which prompted Hospital staff to contact law enforcement. The male victim survived his injuries.
Boxborough police became aware of the situation on August 22 after being notified by the Pike County Sheriff's office in Ohio regarding a man who had reported that he and his girlfriend were assaulted at his Boxborough apartment. Police were later able to enter the Swanson Road apartment and find physical evidence of a violent crime.
“This was a particularly violent incident that shook our community and reached nearly halfway across the country before the suspect was apprehended. I am very proud of the job done by all of the law enforcement officials involved as well as the work of the Middlesex District Attorney's Office for ensuring that this individual will spend a considerable amount of time in prison,” Boxborough Police Chief Warren B. Ryder said.
