Boxborough Police Seize Large Quantity of Cocaine

BOXBOROUGH, MA – On Saturday, July 28, Detective Nathan Bowolick was on patrol on Massachusetts Ave. when he saw a car being driven by Andrew S. MOLANDER, 24, of 4213 High St. #3 in Palmer, MA.
Bowolick knew that MOLANDER’S driver’s license was suspended. He stopped the car and placed MOLANDER under arrest. During a subsequent inventory of the car’s contents, Bowolick discovered several different types of illegal drugs, including a large quantity of what he suspected to be cocaine. He also found property that he believed had been stolen, including a Massachusetts National Guard ring.
MOLANDER was charged with operating after suspension, trafficking in cocaine, illegal possession of a class B drug, illegal possession of a class C drug, illegal possession of a class D drug, illegal possession of a class E drug, illegal possession of fireworks, receiving stolen property, failing to wear a seat belt and driving an uninspected car.
MOLANDER is scheduled for arraignment at Ayer District Court on Monday, July 30.
A passenger in MOLANDER’S car, Shannon McINTYRE, 18, of 86 Ashbrook St. in Springfield, MA was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Holyoke District Court for shoplifting.
