Benefits CheckUp has helped over 3 million people to find needed financial assistance for everyday expenses. If you're age 55 and over, there might just be a bit of help out there for you!

What could be better than a user-friendly website which helps adults age 55 and over to identify over 2,000 public and private programs ready to lend some help with household and medical expenses?

The website is known as BenefitsCheckUp and it is a free service of the National Council on Aging, a non-profit service organization headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Through the BenefitsCheckUp website at www.benefitscheckup.org, qualifying individuals can learn about the public and private programs which provide financial assistance or discounts on services ranging from medications, food, utilities, medical equipment, and housing to transportation and employment assistance.

The site is very easy to use but it's best to plan ahead by gathering up the data which is needed to process your benefits inquiry. Helpful data to have on hand includes: birth date, zip code, household incomes, names of current insurance programs, etc.

After completing a short questionnaire, BenefitsCheck Up sorts through over 2,000 public and private programs to identify sources of programs which can help cover the cost of everyday expenses or provide discounted services.
