ABFM Vendor Profile

A profile of one of ABFM's vendors: artisan baker, Mamadou Mbaye.

As part of our mission to connect you to the source of the food you buy, the Acton Boxborough Farmers Market will post profiles of some of our market vendors--the 21 or more who line-up each summer Sunday to bring you their locally-made foods and handmade crafts.  Each of our vendors has a unique story to tell, not only about how they make their products but also about how they live their lives.

Mamadou Mbaye of Mamadou Artisan Breads has been coming to the ABFM since we started in 2009.  His table is the one at the far end of the market, at the Central St. end.  His breads are hand made, delicious, and he usually sells out!  He and his family are from Senegal.  The business is definitely a family-affair.  You'll see Mamadou's wife, Mame, most Sundays at the market.  Son, Aldemba, helps out in the retail store in Winchester.

Read more about the bakery and the life of this hard-working family and visit them at the ABFM starting June 17th!  See you there!
