I’ve lived in Acton for 19 years and have been convinced over this time that Acton is a very special place, which I am sure many of you agree with. There are many reasons, but for me one of the biggest is the way that people in the community do so much to make our community a better place to live. Whether it is serving on elected or appointed town boards, serving on committees that tackle specific problems or projects, or volunteering time at one of the many organizations in our schools or wider community, “Active Actonians” of all ages come together and figure out how to keep and make Acton a great place to live.
This blog will look at some of those “Active Actonians,” individually and in groups. My hope is that you will learn more about our community, find a place to participate if you’re not already, and connect some dots that may help you find a way to make Acton an even better place to live.
