League volunteers were also at Oktoberfest in Acton on Saturday, October 13 to provide last minute chances to register. They collected 20 registration forms, 3 absentee ballot applications, and 1 absentee ballot application by a family member. Wednesday, October 17 is last day to register to vote in the November 6 election. The cooperation and support of town clerks and school officials continue to be an essential aspect of such successful results.

The League of Women Voters–Acton Area is a non-partisan, grassroots organization that supports and opposes issues, but not candidates or political parties. It serves the towns of Acton, Boxborough, Littleton, Maynard, and Stow. Encouraging citizens to register and vote is a prime goal of the League. Members gratefully acknowledge all those helping to realize that goal.
