Composting: The Black Gold Miners
Creating awareness about composting. Composting is the process of breaking up organic waste such as food scraps into rich humus. Composting will help the town decrease its carbon footprint.
Dear Actonians,
Did you know that the average person produces 4.6 pounds of trash per day? And did you know that 27% of that trash is compostable?
This is completely outrageous! We are , a team of eighth graders from R. J. Grey Junior High School. Our main objective is to try to make the Town of Acton a more green and environmentally friendly place by raising awareness about composting. Composting is the process of breaking up organic waste such as food scraps into rich humus. Composting will help the town decrease its carbon footprint, save the town plenty of money on landfill spending, and provide residents with free fertilizer. Please take this survey to let us know your thoughts on composting.
