Confused About Choosing a Medicare Plan?

If chhsoing a Medicare plan baffles you -- don't despair! Help and guidance can be found at the Acton Senior Center.

 

Now is the time to change or sign up for 2012 Medicare coverage.

Open enrollment dates are October 15th to December 7th.

If you are a current member of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan, you will be notified in the mail about changes to your current plan. You will then be able to change your plan for January 1, 2012.


Anyone seeking to review his or her options within the Medicare program may wish to contact a SHINE representative. SHINE is the state's free health insurance counseling program for Medicare beneficiaries.

If you are new to the Medicare system and have questions, or are already receiving benefits but want to change your plan or ask questions, please call your local senior center to make an appointment with one of the  SHINE (Serving the Health Information Needs of Elders) counselors.
