Get into the Buzz! Participate in the Second Annual Civics Bee!

Have you signed up for the Annual Civics Bee yet? If not, hurry up or you’ll miss the buzz! League of women Voters- Acton Area along with the ABRHS Social Studies department teachers are busy preparing the final list of questions, rules, etc. for the upcoming Civics Bee on Sunday March 10^th, 2:00 PM at the Town Hall, 472 Main Street, Acton. We have numerous adult teams & plenty of student teams who have already signed up. Come join the fun & compete with your friends, neighbors or your elected officials. You will be surprised to see who has signed up to compete!

This fun, community-building event lets you see what is considered basic knowledge and where you stand. Every team will participate in the first three rounds where questions will be answered on paper in a “trivia-night” format.  The moderator will review the answers after each round, and each round will be scored.  The highest scoring teams will move on to a light-hearted competition for the final rounds.  Entry is free, and the event is open to all.  Prizes will be offered to all teams who compete.

If your group is interested in joining in the fun, please complete the application on our website and return via e-mail to Sahana Purohit Sahana.Purohit@gmail.com or via USPS to the League of Women Voters-Acton Area, Post Office Box 817, Acton, MA  01720-0817.  If you are interested in participating but don’t have a group, please return the form and we will work with you to put together a team. Each team will consist of 3 participants. The last date to submit the completed application is Wednesday, March 6th, 2013
