MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach is a free, confidential service available to all Massachusetts residents who are seeking information regarding their medications.

The Outreach service is sponsored by the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as a partnership effort with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
If you are having difficulty in meeting the cost of your prescription medications or if you want to learn about the side effects of a medication, the MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach is available to you by calling a toll-free number. The MCPHS Outreach helpline is staffed by pharmacists and case managers who can offer one-to-one personal assistance and information.
MSPHS Pharmacy Outreach does not offer funding for medication expense but specialists can help review your situation to learn if you qualify for state, federal or private programs which provide free or reduced cost medications.
MCPHS Pharmacy Outreach also offers advice on the following topics:
- Insurance programs including Medicare Drug benefit and other state and federal programs
- Programs sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry that provide free, low cost or discounted medications.
- Private organizations providing discounts on medications
- Medication counseling
- Medication interactions, side effects, risks
There are no income or age qualifications to use the helpline. The MCPHS helpline can be reached by dialing a toll-free number, 1-866-633-1617. Monday thru Friday, 8am to 6pm.
