Libations!

A good liquor store isn't hard to find in Acton!

The liquor store is an essential place to know about when moving to a new area. A decent selection, and a helpful staff really splits the difference between a good and bad store.

We've found very good for selection and service. I'm not a big wine person, my wife is, and she never seems to be at a loss for selection. I tend to go for beer, and thankfully they have great choices as well, so good that it can be overwhelming. Wanting to try something new, yet afraid I may not want to commit to 6 beers of something unknown. Thankfully getting single bottles isn't an issue here. So trying something new isn't as fearful.

We've also found the same good service and selection at . The prices are comparable between them both as well.

Boxes are often thrown out from liquor stores, so when you're moving it's not a bad idea to grab some beers for those friends that are helping you move, and pick up a few boxes for storage and or moving. The beer-case size ones are great for small items, they're easier to carry, and a dozen of them can easily be loaded up in even the smallest of cars. Even better, they're free! Go into the "packie," buy your fave liquid refreshment, and ask if they have any boxes they can spare. You'll notice that they also come in handy as well for the trash you seem to accumulate during the moving process.

After settling into your new abode, A decent home bar should have a the following; A whiskey/Scotch/bourbon, Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, & Rum, preferably all non flavored. Some Collins mix, sweet & sour mix, milk and some assorted juices should round things out.
