Looking for Something Fun to do This Summer?

The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce is holding its fourth annual Summer Bash at next week on July 24^th.  It starts at 5:30 P.M. and goes until 7:30 P.M. Admission is $10 per person. This event is held in appreciation of the sponsors of the . The Road Race allows people and businesses to donate money to the local charities of their choosing and the Chamber scholarship fund. Over $48000 has been given back to the community through this scholarship fund alone. The Summer Bash is a way of recognizing and giving thanks to the multitude of sponsors that help made the Road Race successful. This is truly a great event and always gets a large turnout. 

            The Summer Bash and Road Race are events that could not be done without a lot of coordination and effort from community members. The Town of Acton Recreation Department allows the use of NARA Park, with providing music, and providing beer and wine. 

            There are many food vendors that are bringing their own unique flavor to the Summer Bash. I am very excited to taste what Moe’s Southwest Grill has to offer. They are going to offer a make-your-own burrito bar. Their food is always fresh and they pride themselves on delicious simplicity. I also look forward to trying the pull pork that Slowpokes Barbecue will be bringing. After holding many barbecue competitions, Slowpokes has become well known for its great food. Other vendors, like , , and , will bring their own exceptional dishes.

            One of the highlights of the night will be the raffle. There are many prizes available. You could win anything from a massage, to advertisement space in the Beacon, to a night stay for two at Sunday River’s Snow Cap Inn that includes lift tickets and breakfast.
