Merry Christmas

Christmas Wish.

It's Christmas Eve and as I hide out at my in-laws with my adult beverage while my wifes family somothers my kids. I want to wish you all a safe and healthy, Christmas and new year. I want to thank Patrick Clark the editor of the Patch for all the support this past year with the 9/11 memorial project and with the featured video and story he is due to post shortly. I wont't spoil it, but we had some excitment later that day that he missed.

Also I want to touch upon this month of December. It's has been a tough month for the fire service. We just had a 12 year memorial service for the Worcester Six then on Dec 8th we lost Jon Davies of the Worcester Fire Dept in a building fire collapse. He was 43years old with three sons. Myself as well as a few other members of the Acton Fire dept were honored to attended those services. Then on Dec 9th we lose Sarah Fox 40 years old of the Portsmouth NH fire dept to Cancer. She leaves a husband and two kids. Then on Dec 21 we lose Rob Georges of the Methuen MA fire dept of Cardiac issues. He leaves a wife and two kids who are expecting their first children. Now we morn the lose of Jim Rice 42 years old who died at a building fire on Dec 23. He leaves a wife and two children. Please as you enjoy your Christmas with friends and family please keep in mind those guys that went to work expecting to go home after their shift. Also keep in mind and say a little prayer for  those military, fire, police, nurses and any public service personal that provide for our safety and protection who will not be with their families so that we can. So for the first time for me in five years I will be celebrating Christmas at home with my wife and two kids and plan on enjoying every minute of it.

Merry Christmas Everyone.
