One of the best tools on the web is free, easy and helps adults age 55 and over – especially those with limited incomes - to obtain needed financial assistance and benefits for meeting the cost of health care, housing, legal services, utility bills, prescription medication, and more.
BenefitsCheckUp (www.benefitscheckup.org) is the country’s most comprehensive portal providing a one-step screening process which provides information on more than 2,000 federal, state and local benefit programs throughout all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Since 2001, more than 2.8 million people have used BenefitsCheckUp to receive financial assistance and benefits valued at more than $9.8 billion as according to the National Council on Aging which sponsors the BenefitsCheckUp website.
