A unique offering of by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America,  the Care Crossroads  website  provides  guidance, support and information from social workers via live chat, email or Skype.  Or if you prefer, you can take the more traditional route and phone 866-AFA-8484.

Care Crossroads social workers are available from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. Eastern time.

In addition to offering a "visit" with a social worker, Care Crossroads also offers online support groups, teleconferences, webcasts, blogs,  forums and community message boards which bring together health professionals as well as family members and friends of individuals who are experiencing memory loss.

An especially unique offering is a virtual home tour which takes visitors on a "room by room" overview of how to create a safe home environment as well as deal with various challenges in daily living.
