The Company We Keep
Rundown of some new local businesses in West Acton that keep company with the farmers market opening this weekend.
West Acton Village is a “happnin’ place” these days. Just over the past year the village has undergone somewhat of a renaissance with the addition of several new businesses. We now have our own fish market, Twin Seafood, a new chocolate shop, Mia Bella Candy Box, a revamped bistro, The Local Table, our own pre-school, Acton Montessori, and a new yoga studio, Revolution Community Yoga. It’s no wonder we chose to place the Acton Boxborough Farmers Market amidst all this thriving commerce—it’s what invigorates and sustains a community; it’s the company we keep, and we’re so proud to be part of it!
This Sunday marks the beginning of our 4th Season. Once again, from 10-1 every Sunday, rain or shine, we will be bringing you fresh produce from area farms; artisanal jams and breads and baked goods; local eggs and cheeses; local meats and poultry; live music; community information; and kids’ activities.
One of our weekly vendors is Nella Pasta, two young women who formed a company to produce their own pasta from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. Their ravioli are stuffed with fresh local produce and cheeses, like roasted beets, Swiss chard, goat cheese, and lots of other delicious combinations. They’ll be at our market Sunday. READ the Nella Pasta story.

Stop by the ABFM table in the center of the market on Pearl St. and tell us what you think—we love feedback. It looks like great weather this Sunday, June 17th. And Happy Fathers Day!
See you soon!
