CBS Boston reported founder Tom Skripps employs about 70 people to manufacture the toys. The company has licensing deals with the MLB, NHL, and NFL. It recently released a set for retiring New York Yankees’ star Derek Jeter.

OYO has unique marketing tactics—including producing short videos recreating famous sports moments like Bobby Orr’s goal to win the 1970 Stanley Cup. It has a heavy social media presence; its Facebook page has more than 100,000 followers.

CBS said OYO produced a million figurines last year and plans to make seven million next year.
