All creatures and their humans are welcome to participate in the Blessing of the Animals on Sunday afternoon, June 24, at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Acton. We will meet on the church lawn at 3:00 for a celebration of how our animal companions and servants bless their humans. Please join us with your own pets or service animals of all species. Bring them on lead, in cage, tank or crate so that all the animals will be safe. If your animal is aggressive or unable to attend for other reasons, feel free to bring a picture or toy to be blessed. We will also have a Memory Board to commemorate pets no longer with us.
A buffet for cats and dogs will be provided by Especially for Pets. We will have water available but people should bring containers for their pets to drink from. Our offering will be donated to the Buddy Dog Humane Society and Heifer International.
All animal lovers from area communities are invited to join us for this event. All creatures, great and small, are welcome! The church is located at 435 Central Street in Acton. For more information call the church office 978-263-2822 or see our website www.saint-matthews.org .
