As part of the Gates goes Green campaign and in an effort to raise money for the 6th grade Nature’s Classroom fieldtrip, we will be hosting a one day bottle drive at Gates School at 75 Spruce Street in West Acton and at Acton Transfer Station. The theme of this fundraiser ties in with nature’s classroom’s view on the environment. In addition, this provides a recycling opportunity for the local community and at the same time teaches the kids the value of working as a team and the value of being rewarded for their hard work. Please help us reach our goal and donate your redeemable bottles and cans on Saturday, September 17th from 8AM to 1PM at Gates School and Acton Transfer Station.
During the summer, you can also donate redemption receipts if you return bottles and cans at redemption centers located at Acton Donelan’s supermarket and Acton Wine & Spirit. These two businesses have agreed to collect the redemption receipts for our fundraiser.
