This program is designed to introduce elementary school children to the basics of theater. Perfect for kids ages 5-12. The students will work in small casts to perform a narrated script. Students will act; sing, dance and make costumes, sets, and props. The small casts create maximum acting opportunities for each student. Each cast will produce a short play based on a classic fairy tale, revamped with modern music and charm. At the end of the program, we will invite friends and family to watch the performances. The students can keep their costumes, props, CDs and photos, not to mention new friends and great memories. There will be a $20 material fee, payable to the instructor at the first class. Students should bring a bag lunch, beverage and snack. Stephanie Hoban is a former ABRHS theater director. Jennifer Boyce is a teacher at Algonquin Regional HS and has been Assistant Director of Little Rascals for the past three years.
